Beginning in 2015, and then serving for nine years before recently stepping down as CEO of Orange County, Frank Kim was indeed Orange County’s top public official overseeing a budget that has grown to $9.5 billion annually with more than 18,000 employees. Despite the breadth and heft of this post, Kim has been widely praised for deftly guiding the OC through a global pandemic, a homeless crisis, and multiple major construction projects.
OC World guest host Steve Churm, award-winning journalist and media entrepreneur, interviews Kim about some of the key lessons he learned from his experiences as the longest serving CEO in county history, his hopes for the future, and advice for his successor.

Richard Reisman is arguably one of the most successful publishers in Orange County’s history.
As Publisher/CEO of the Orange County Business Journal—with a circulation of 16,000+ and 50,000 daily opt-in online subscribers-Reisman continues to guide a weekly publication that mostly covers news on Orange County companies, industries, and business leaders; and also publishes special reports and lists, custom content from industry experts, and business awards events. But while other legacy print publications have struggled to survive, the OCBJ has thrived mostly because, according to Reisman, it never followed the media pack.
OC World Executive Producer and award-winning journalist Scott Hays interviews Reisman about the business of print media and the future of journalism in Orange County.
