OC World Wins
Coveted ‘Real O.C.’ Award
At OC Press Club Gala

And Sweeps ‘Best Video’ Category!

The OC World-produced documentary “Coastal Crisis: California’s Vanishing Beaches” received the coveted “Real O.C” award at this year’s OC Press Club’s Excellence in Journalism Awards Gala, held Thursday 15 June at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course. The “Real O.C.” award is given for the “story, review, feature, column, photo or broadcast video that best captures something special, surprising, telling, or essential about Orange County.”

Second place was awarded to Voice of OC, third place and honorable mention to OC Register.

OC World also swept the “Best Video” category with the following three programs: “From Hate to Healing,” “Hope Dies Last,” and “To Live for the Harvest.”

These documentary shorts and in-studio interviews are the results of the collaborative efforts of the OC World team: Manuel Gomez, Joone Kim-Lopez, Mike Moodian, Dan McKechnie, Ty Woodson and KLCS-PBS, Veronica Marquez, and so many others. We would also like to thank our Sponsors, our Advisory Committee Members, and those who have allowed us into their lives to tell their stories.
