OC World, in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, presents The Power of Community, a six-part public affairs series examining critical issues affecting Orange County and the collaborative efforts underway to address them. The series convenes nonprofit leaders, subject matter experts, funders, and community stakeholders to explore how philanthropy, cross-sector partnerships, and community-based initiatives are working to strengthen local systems and improve quality of life across the region.
The first program in the series, Child and Youth Mental Health: A Hidden Epidemic, focuses on the growing mental health challenges facing young people and families, and the network of organizations responding to this urgent need. Through informed discussion and on-the-ground perspectives, the episode highlights the scope of the issue, the barriers to care, and the innovative community-driven solutions emerging across Orange County.
