The piers along Orange County’s 42 miles of coastline were major contributors to its growth. With the need to transport goods by boat to Anaheim Landing and the McFadden Wharf, to the implementation of the Pacific Electric’s Red Line to its southern terminus at the Balboa Pavilion, the coastal communities blossomed to what they are today. From Seal Beach to San Clemente, everyone loves to visit the piers for an outing, for fishing, for watching surfers, for restaurants and to see California’s famous West Coast sunsets. Join us for a day trip along Pacific Coast Highway to see the jewels on the shore.
Dia de Los Muertos is an ancient ceremony dating back to the Aztec Civilization to honor the dead. Today this tradition is vibrantly alive in the city of Santa Ana with Centro Cultural de Mexico’s Noche de Altares: Celebration honoring our ancestors.
As a Distinguished Professor at UC Irvine with appointments in Psychology, Criminology, and Law, Dr. Elizabeth Loftus has fundamentally changed how we understand human memory. Her groundbreaking research has revealed that our memories are not perfect recordings but are surprisingly malleable and susceptible to suggestion. This work has transformed everything from courtroom procedures to police interviews and has helped free innocent people wrongfully convicted based on mistaken eyewitness testimony.
